Anchor Robin Roberts returned to Good Morning America Monday after her departure nearly three weeks ago. Her short time away included a trip to Italy
” My needle was past 'E' when I left here a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve got a full tank, so watch out," she said on Monday's show. Roberts shared pictures of her trip and her co-anchors welcomed her back playing “Reunited”.
Roberts updated viewers on her treatments for MDS, a blood and bone marrow disease she was diagnosed with in June. She continued to receive treatments while the PICC line, which had been used for chemotherapy, was taken out just before her vacation.
“A lot of people have commented that they are not seeing the PICC line. Which is great”, Roberts told viewers. “But I do miss the p(icc) . . I miss the armband” she added, referring the to stylish arm bands that coordinated with her outfits. Robin Roberts had been seen lately wearing PICC Cover Fashions TM to conceal the PICC line located on her arm. The decorative PICC sleeves were designed by Cast Cover Fashions.
“I feel alive again and really ready to tackle this next challenge that I have” she told viewers Monday. Roberts plans to be on medical leave in a few weeks for her bone marrow transplant from her sister.
