GMA Anchor Robin Roberts Preparing for Absence

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts is planning to take a medical leave at the end of August or early September.  Roberts told reporters, via satellite, last Thursday at the Television Critics Association conference in Beverly Hills, California. 

During her absence, Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, and Katie Couric will be subbing for her. 

Roberts announced last month that she has MDS, a blood and bone marrow disease.  She will be on leave for her bone marrow transplant. “It’s fascinating slash scary how to prepare yourself for something like this,” she said.
